About me

Hi! My name is Clare Hoelscher, and I am currently a student at the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas, where I am studying Elementary Education and Spanish. I plan to graduate in May 2020 with a certification in teaching Elementary EC-6. I am currently a member of Kappa Delta Pi, an International Education Honor Society, and of the National Society of Leadership and Success.

I was born in Houston, Texas, where I have lived all of my life (with the exception of college!). I went to St. Laurence Catholic School from kindergarten through eighth grade, and then I attended St. Agnes Academy for high school.

I love teaching, reading, drawing, painting, listening to music and podcasts, horseback riding, spending time with my family and friends, and traveling. I have been to 9 countries so far, and I hope to visit more than twice that many in my lifetime! I also recently published my first book, A Day in Barcelona, based on my experience visiting my favorite city, Barcelona, Spain! Currently, I work for the University of Dallas Residence Hall Association, planning community-building events for the entire UD community. I greatly enjoy my role as RHA Intern, and I love being involved in and giving back to my community.
